Mobile measurement technology is characterised by a different measurement strategy from the classical metrology. It is based on digitally acquired precision data and thus allows dimensions to be determined spatially in a three-dimensional environment. It is on the measuring points that the geometry of the figures is created and the dimensions determined (e.g. to determine a plane we need a minimum of 3 points). As this technique is characterised by measurement procedures based on point (XYZ) coordinate values, it can often be challenging.
